Feedback of hotel Orion: I stayad at the Orion Flathotel for five nights in October with my husband and teenage daughter.
Our flat was very clean and quiet and the desk staff were helpful and spoke good English.
We had a one bedroomed apartment which consisted of a bathroom, a very large bedroom with double bed and a smaller room with a double sofa bed and dining table with the kitchen leading off it. The kitchen had adequate pots, pans and utensils but no kettle. (Fortunately we had read an earlier review to this effect and took our own.)
The hotel is a fifteen minute walk to the Old Town but you can catch a tram or the Metro from Namesti Miru, five minute's walk away. You can buy tickets at the reception desk.
The location is quiet but there are plenty of bars / simple restaurants in the surrounding streets.
I'd recommend this hotel as very good value for money.

Feedback of hotel Orion: Very pleasant stay at the flathotel. Rooms are large, clean and very bright. Cleaning staff does a good job every day. Furniture is not of the best quality but is brand new and very clean. Staff at the main desk were very helpfull in directing us around and even ordered Prague Opera tickets online and had them delivered to the front desk. All concerns were answered very quickly.
Only 1-3 stops on the metro from the main tourist locations, the area itself is much more quite and relaxed then the tourist trap hotels closer to Nove/Stare Mesto. Seemed pretty safe even when returning home past 11-12. The restaurants and cafes around also offer much better values then the center, sometimes 4-5 times cheaper for higher quality food, as long as you like mostly Czech food. Most have English(though with hilarious translations) menus. There is an internet cafe, book store and a few grocery stores around the place for small items.
