Feedback of hotel Sax: This is my 2nd time staying at Hotel Sax. The staff and accomodations are as wonderful as the first time I stayed. We were served complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea each day. The beds and linens were comfy; the bathrooms and the closet area were roomy. There are bath salts left so you can take a luxurious bath in their deep tubs. Also quite lovely were the double windows that opened to the street below. There's also complimentary internet access in the lobby from 7 am - midnight each day. It is quite close to the Malostranske namesti tram stop. There are lovely shops and bars in this area as well. We did a little pub crawl in that area that included a small bar across the street from the hotel, a wine bar down a bit further down the street then J.J.'s pub. Great food there by the way! There were a couple more spots that looked interesting but we didn't have time to hit them all. If I return to Prague, I would definitely stay with them again.

Feedback of hotel Sax: I lived in Prague for one year (1996-7), while teaching English, and so am very familiar with the city. I have returned three times on holiday, and have stayed each time at the Hotel Sax, most recently over Xmas 2003. It is very well situated, being very close to the castle, Petrin Park, Malostranska Namesty and Charles Bridge. It is also within easy walking distance (c.15-20 mins) of Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, The National Theatre and the Municipal House. It is a converted building, and has been tastefully refurbished and modernised. What was the courtyard has been turned into an atrium. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. On one side there are views of Petrin Park, and on the other side the Church of St. Nicholas and the castle. The staff are courteous and helpful, qualities not always found among Prague citizens. There is no restaurant, but breakfast is served in a pleasant breakfast room. Breakfast is adequate, although rather limited in range. The hotel is not as cheap as it used to be, but still represents very good value for this area. It is quiet and very secure, since it can only be reached by a short street which ends in a cul-de-sac, and goes past the American and German embassies, where all cars are stopped by the police, who maintain a 24 hour presence.
